Rabbi Naftali Teitelbaum was the Av Beis Din of Nyirbator. He was the son of Rabbi Yisrael Yukel Teitelbaum, who was a descendant of the Yismach Moshe and son-in-law of his uncle the Yitav Lev. Rabbi Naftali himself was the son-in-law of Rabbi Moshe Yosef, the son of the Yitav Lev.
He was known as one of the leading rabbinical leaders of Hungary and fought vigorously against the institution of Agudas Yisrael in Hungary.
