Rare letter, signed by Rabbi Chaim Halberstam of Sanz in 1873 when he was eighty years old. Letters from this period are extremely rare.
At the end, he signed in his holy hand, “DBST (abb. For who seeks the peace of his Torah honor) h”k Chaim Halberstam”.
On the right side of the letter, a personal stamp of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz inscribed in paper
The letter was written in his old age. The recipient is Rabbi Mordechai HaLevi Ish Horowitz, Av Beit Din of Shamloya and the author of Parashat Mordechai (Ungvar 1866), on the reverse side is the conclusion of his letter.
