On the title page of the book and other places the stamp of Rabbi Moshe Halberstam of Berdyov, grandson of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz; as well as the stamp of his son R. Yechiel Noson.
Rabbi Moshe of Berdyov (1904) was the eldest son of Rabbi Baruch of Gorlitz, son of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz, a prodigy. His grandfather was very fond of him and he studied with him for a long time. In 1874 settled he in Berdiyov where he set up court.
His son Rabbi Yechiel Natan was born in 1865 and was able to see his great grandfather. He inherited his father from 1904 until his death in 1934.
