Personal Siddur of the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Feish Segal Lowy of Tosh, zt”l
Personal Siddur of the Admor Rabbi Meshulam Feish Segal Lowy of Tosh, zt”l
Siddur with kavanos of the Holy Names, in which the saintly Admor Rabbi Meshulam Feish Segal Lowy of Tosh, zt”l, a pillar of prayer in the last generation, poured out his heart in prayer.
On the leaf preceding the title page appears his stamp, and his name is likewise embossed on the binding.
Attached to the siddur is a bookmark made from parchment, on which are written the Holy Names הוי’ה and אדנו"ת, which the Rebbe placed before himself at the time of prayer.
On that leaf, and on the inner side of the binding, are lists of kvitlech written by the chassidim, so that he would remember them in his prayers.
The Admor Rabbi Meshulam Feish Segal Lowy of Tosh (1921–2015) was the renowned Rebbe of Tosh, Canada. He was the author of Avodas Avodah and the great-grandson of Rabbi Meshulam Feish Lowy, the first Rebbe of Tosh. One of the elder Rebbes of our generation, he was known for his lengthy prayers and for his tremendous dveikus in Avodas Hashem. In 1951, he emigrated to Canada, and in 1963 he founded the chassidic settlement of Tosh. Many flocked to be in his presence on Shabbos and to witness his elevated prayer.
The siddur lacks its title page, and bears many signs of use from the Rebbe’s handling of it during prayer.
