“One should accustom oneself to learn from a sefer printed by G-d fearing men. There is a story of a tzaddik who arrived in a certain town during the days of Selichos, and someone handed him a Selichah [book], and he said that he could not read the letters… until they gave him a Selichah that had been printed by those who fear G-d, ostensibly by the Slavita Press. Then the [tzaddik] said, ‘Now I can read the letters.’”

“Therefore, every man who fears Hashem should strive to purchase all sefarim from old printings, the majority of which were printed by G-d fearing men, and especially from the Slavita and Zhitomir Presses [which were owned] by the grandchildren of the Admor of Kortiz, who were exalted and exceedingly pious printers.” (Taharas Hakodesh Ch. 6 by the Shomer Emunim)
