The Rambam’s Moreh Nevuchim.
Venice, 1551

Sefer Yesod
The Rambam’s monumental work Moreh Nevuchim discusses fundamental topics of Jewish faith and theology and is regarded as the premier work on Jewish thought and philosophy.
Moreh Nevuchim was originally printed in Rome between 1469-1474 without any commentary or additions.
The present Venice 1551 edition presents the first edition of Moreh Nevuchim with its great commentators: the commentary of Rabbi Shem Tov ben Rabbi Yosef; Perush Ha’Efodi by Rabbi Yitzchak Doran; Rules of Pirkei Hamoreh by Rabbi Yehuda Alharizi; and Perush Hamilos Hakashos by Rabbi Shmuel Ibn Taboon (who translated the Rambam”s work from Arabic).

Moreh Nevuchim, by the Rambam cites logical proofs of the existence of a Creator, evidence of the creation of the world and the lack of G-d’s corporeal form. He also presents a broad explanation of the foundations of prophecy, Creation, Maase Hamerkavah, and reasons for mitzvos.
