Sefer Yesod

Shulchan Aruch with Be’er Hagolah a comprehensive work noting the sources of all the halachic rulings of the Shulchan Aruch and Rema by Rabbi Moshe Rivkash of Vilna.

Complete set with four illustrated title pages, all bound in parchment bindings with gilded engraving, gilded edges and clasps.
The printing of all four volumes of Beer Hagolah spanned four years, which is why an intact set of all 4 volumes is exceedingly rare.
Since its original printing Be’er Hagolah has been recognized as one of the fundamental works and Nosei Keilim of the Shulchan Aruch. It is remarkably printed on all editions of Shulchan Aruch.
Orach Chaim, 1661. Page Count: [4], 320 leaves.
Yoreh De’ah, 1662. Page Count: [1], 302 [340] leaves.
Even Haezer, 1662. Page Count: [1], 198, [1] leaves.
Choshen Mishpat, 1664. Page Count: 481 leaves.
Rabbi Moshe Rivkash (circa 1600-1671) was born in Prague and dwelled in Vilna. Fleeing the Cossack pogroms of 1655, he found refuge in Amsterdam, but returned to Vilna in his latter years. The author recounts his harrowing experiences in his introduction to his sefer. Rabbi Moshe Rivkash was the great-grandfather of the Vilna Gaon, whose commentary on the Shulchan Aruch is essentially an expansion of Be’er Hagolah.
Amsterdam, 1661-1664. 4 volumes. First Edition. Page Size: 15 cm
