Ramak’s Commentary on High Holidays Prayers

Important old manuscript (nearly 450-years-old) recording the teachings of the saintly kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Cordovero, the Ramak. The manuscript, written only several years after the Ramak’s passing, is a kabbalistic commentary on the prayers of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.
The manuscript is written in a beautiful, thin handwriting, with all prayer text inscribed in larger block letters.
The Ramak’s commentary on the prayers of Yamim Nora’im was first printed in the Constantinople Machzor (1576) and later under the name Zivchei Shalmim (Lublin, 1613).
The first page includes the piyyut, “Yom zeh Dar B’Meromim” by the Arizal as well as a collection of prayers identical to the anthology of prayers included in the Lublin edition (with minute variances).
This manuscript is sourced from a volume of kabbalistic writings, some of which are explicitly marked as written in the 1575. The present manuscript parallels the above both in script and style.
The colophon at the end of the manuscript reads: “All this I found and heard, and the content clarifies that it was composed by the all-encompassing sage and saintly kabbalist Moreinu Harav Moshe Cordovero zt”l.”
