Seder Tikkun Shovavim
Ohr Hachaim Hakadosh
Seder Tikkun Shovavim which includes a special tefillah for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur composed by Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar, author of the Ohr Hachaim. The tefillah was printed during his lifetime inside a rare edition of Seder Tikkun Shovavim which was published in 1740 in Livorno where the Ohr Hachaim sojourned on his way to Eretz Yisrael.
The tefillah was printed on leaf 34a which says,
“A prayer established by Harav…Rabbi Chaim Ben Attar, to be said at the end of all three tefillos of Rosh Hashanah before Elokai Netzor, and on Yom Kippur while the Shliach Tzibbur recites ‘Vayavor Hashem al Panav.’”
The basis of this tefillah is a yearning for Hakadosh Baruch Hu to restore His Shechinah to our midst, “and that He shall return to enjoy us as in the days of old, because Your withdrawal from us is [as] difficult as the departing of our soul from our body…”
Seder Tikkun Shovavim to be recited during Minchah during the days of Shovavim, by the Ramaz, with Viduy from the kabbalist Rabbi Yosef Piamita, and many other tefillos.
