Autographed Responsum by the Ben Ish Chai with Endorsements from Rabbis of Bagdad. 1895.
Halachic responsum to a query dispatched from the city Rangoon, Burma regarding whether it is
permissible to annul a longstanding custom practiced by the congregation.
The manuscript contains the response of the Ben Ish Chai along with endorsements of prominent Bagdad Rabbanim, among them Chacham Avraham Moshe Hillel — grandfather of the kabbalist Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Hillel (Rosh Yeshivah of Ahavat Shalom in Jerusalem), Chacham Moshe Chaim Shlomo Shamash, and Chacham Yechezkel Moshe Halevi.
An approbation by Chacham Salah, the son of Rabbi Abdallah Somech (1831-1897) is also attached to this responsum.
