This Rabbinical Certificate was presented to Hagaon Harav Moshe Eliezer Donat upon accepting the position of Rav of the kehillah of Ir Chadash- (nove mesto) in 1925.
The document features ten paragraphs listing the Rav’s commitments and liabilities toward the community, and likewise the liabilities of the community toward the Rav. It is signed by the elders of the community and roshei kahal.
Harav Moshe Eliezer Lipman Donat Hy”d (1898-1945) disciple of the Daas Sofer. In 1922, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Topolcany, and in 1925 was appointed Rav of Ir Chadash- (nove mesto). In 1933, he succeeded his father as head of Chevras Shas in Pressburg.He Authored sefer Diburei Emes (Bardiów, 1931).
