Letter from Rabbi Mordechai Yosef Moshe Moskowicz of Sulitza requesting that the title "Rabbi" be given to his nephews so that they be exempt from army conscription. His nephews were Rabbi Yitzchak of Radewitz and Rabbi Moshe Aryeh of Tchernowitz, sons of Rabbi Meir of Shatz.

The letter was sent from Botosani, Romania in 1921 and is written on personal stationary complete with Rabbi Yosef Moshe’s handwritten signature.

Rabbi Yosef Moshe Moskowicz of Sulitza was the son of Rabbi Yoel of Shatz who was a son-in-law of Rabbi Meir of Premishlan. Already in his childhood he was known for his holiness and piety. He became Admor in the year 1886 and served in this capacity until his death in 1929. He was well-known for his extravagant and generous contributions to charity. His son is the holy Rabbi Shalom of Shatz – London.
