Chevron Yeshivah Magen Avos:
Remarkable Document Handwritten and  Signed by Rabbi Yosef David Ayash
Beautifully handwritten letter from Rabbi Yosef David Ayash in which he appoints three solicitors in Italy and requests that they send money once a year to the solicitors in Livorno for his yeshivah in Chevron.
Rabbi Yosef David Ayash was the son of the RIshon Letzion Rabbi Yaakov Moshe Ayash, and author of Kol David. In the year 1820 he founded a yeshivah in Chevron called Magen Avos. The yeshivah lasted only one year and as such documents from this period are rare.
