A long letter appointing Rabbi Yosef Eliyahu Henkin as the financial solicitor in America on behalf of the Slutzker Yeshivah, which was in dire straits at the time.

Due to the persecution of the Communist regime, the Slutzker Yeshivah was forced to relocate to Kletzk, Poland in 1921. The Rosh Yeshivah, Rabbi Aaron Kotler, arrived in Kletzk in 1923 along with his father-in-law, Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer.
This letter is signed in the handwritings of Rabbi Isser Zalman Meltzer and Rabbi Aaron Kotler. Although the letter is undated, it appears to have been written in 1923.
