Sefer detailing the Takanos (regulations), agreements, and customs practiced in Jerusalem that were put in place by the great rabbinical leaders.
These takanos involve issues such as rabbinical positions, inheritance, taxes, marriage and divorce, and others. In it, Rabbi Avraham Gagin writes that these takanos apply to all future generations and warns against those who disobey.
Printed in 1842 by Rabbi Yisrael Be"k and proofread by the Rishon Letzion, Rabbi Chaim Avraham Gagin.
It is one of the very first books to be printed in Jerusalem.
There are two title pages; the first is a general title page which has a decorative border, while the second is a title page for the Sefer Hatakanos.
Among the undersigned are the Rishon Letzions, the Machaneh Ephraim, Rabbi Gedalia Hayun, the Rashash, the Chidah and his father, the Maharit Algazi and his father, among others.
