At the heading of every page, the author of “Tiferes Yisroel” wrote these abbreviations-"בעהש"י געונמ"א" -These abbreviated letters stand for: בעזרת ה' יתברך גל עיני ואביטה נפלאות מתורתך, אמן.

Hagaon Rabbi Yisroel Lipshitz (5542-5620 1782-1860) l was renowned throughout the torah world mainly by his commentary on the Mishneh. He was honored to have his commentary on the Mishna printed in all the editions that were published from his time on.
