Siddur with prayers for the entire year with kabbalistic kavanos and customs based on the writings of the Arizal. The siddur was handwritten in handsome Ashkenazic
handwriting and is ornamented with attractive initials, windows, bordered titles, kabbalistic charts, and illustrations of the menorah.
The manuscript features handwritten glosses by various kabbalists who prayed from this siddur.
The siddur encompasses prayers for the whole year, beginning with Prayers for the Weekday, Shabbos, Yamim Nora’im, Festivals, Tikkun Chatzos, order of daily study, Zemiros Shabbos with commentary, Haggadah with kavanos, Sefiras Haomer with kavanos and Pitum Haketores, etc.
Europe, first half of 18th century. Size: 19.5 cm • Page Count: 269, [3] leaves. One leaf at the beginning is missing • Condition: Used, but good condition with light damage and several small tears at edge • Owners’ signature on last leaf. Sold Kedem March , 22. New leather binding.
