Sefer Abudraham is the foundational work on the customs and sources of prayers; formula of prayers; laws of prayers and blessings. 

The most important commentary on the siddur.

Rabbi David Abudraham was born in Seville, Spain, and he is thought to be a disciple of Rabbeinu Yaakov who authored the Tur. The Abudraham attests that he authored this sefer in the year 1340.

Constantinople, 1514. Second edition. The first edition of this sefer is an incunabula printed in Lisbon, 1495. The present edition was printed by the legislator Astrock De Tolon Provincial.

99, [1] leaf. Page size: 24.5 cm. Top margins cropped, with some missing headers – these were professionally restored. Other restorations on title page edges.

Early owners’ signatures in Spanish appear on the title page. Eastern-style leather binding with leaves and decorations engraved in leather.

This is one of the very first and rare old Hebrew books printed in Constantinople.
