Personal Handwritten Amulet of the Kabbalist, Rabbi Yehudah Fetaya. Baghdad, 1936.

Rabbi Yehudah Feyata inscribed this personal amulet for health and protection for himself and carried it with him wherever he went.

“May it be the will of Hashem…that you shall safeguard and rescue your servant who carries this amulet, Yehudah ben Chana, from evil spirits and harmful creatures…and from an evil eye, from plague and illness…and you shall heal with a full recovery, with remedy for the soul and remedy for the body, and grant him a good heart to clearly know and understand, a pure heart to serve you and fear you…and he shall be successful…and his home shall be filled with the blessing of Hashem…”

In the margins of the amulet, he notes,
“Written on Friday, 15 Kislev, 5691 (1931) by myself, Yehudah Moshe Yeshua Yechezkel Fetaya.”

The holy kabbalist Rabbi Yehudah Fetaya (1859-1942) was one of the leading kabbalists in recent generations. He was famous for his amulets which were known to bring about miracles and wonders. The present amulet was created by Rabbi Yehudah especially for himself, and he wore it on him at all times in order to safeguard his pure body.

3 sewn parchment sheets. Total length: 147cm; width: 5cm. Scribal and Sephardic script of Rabbi Fetaya. 2 minor tears affecting text.
Amulet presented in an original 21k gold (26.3 gr.) case fashioned in Baghdad with 2 rings on the edges to enable it to be worn like a necklace pendant.
