Admor of Daash the holy Rabbi Moshe Panet zt"l letter regarding the delivery of charity funds to Tzfas. 1893
Handwritten letter from Harav Moshe Panet of Daash, son and successor of Harav Menachem Mendel Panet, author of the Maaglei Tzedek.
The actual letter was written by the son HaAdmor Harav Yechezkel Panet, author of Knesses Yechezkel and than it signed by his father HaAdmor HaRav Moshe Panet.
The Admor Harav Moshe Panet served as Nasi of Kollel Ahavas Tzion-Zibenbergen and devoted his heart and soul to raise money for the poor of Eretz Yisrael. In this letter, he informs the recipient that he sent a sum of 480 gold coins to Baron Rothschild along with precise instructions to distribute the monies among Kollel Vizhnitz, Kollel Kossov, and Kollel Marmaresh.
He also mentions that Hagaon Harav Mordechai Loewy of Unterdam wrote to him that there were frequent errors in the receipts mailed to him and requested him to correct the errors and send them by post.
The Admor Harav Moshe Panet (1843-1903) was the son and successor of the Admor Harav Menachem Mendel Panet, Av Beis Din of Daash. In 1885, he assumed his father’s position as Rebbe and Rav in Daash, where he was a leader of thousands. He studied Chassidus under the tutelage of Rabbi Chaim of Sanz. Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua of Nassaud attested that he was blessed with Ruach HaKodesh (Nachas Tzvi Kovetz 5, p. 120),
