In this eulogy, Harav Shlomo Kluger portrays the greatness of the tzaddik, whom he extols as “A man of G-d, our master and teacher Harav Meir zt”l…I was privileged to glimpse him twice, and it was as glimpsing the face of an angel”
In this eulogy, he bitterly laments the passing of one whose character glowed in humility, righteousness and generosity, who disregarded material pleasure and wealth and his home was a refuge for all the impoverished .
The author entitled this pamphlet ‘Hame’ir Einei Hamechakim Leslichaso (Who illuminates the eyes of those who await his forgiveness), ’ an allusion to the name of Harav Meir of Premishlan. The pamphlet was published in his sefer Ein Dimah.
