The
Admor Harav Yisrael of Husyatin (1858-1949) was the grandson of the holy Ruzhiner Rebbe. It was said that the ruach hakodesh which hovered upon him was nearly palpable, as it was for the great Admorim of generations past.

In 1894, Harav Yisrael succeeded his father Harav Mordechai Feivish (son of Harav Yisrael of Ruzhin) as Admor of Husyatin. During World War I, he escaped to Vienna and subsequently embarked on a journey to Eretz Yisrael where he settled in 1937 and was venerated as the elder of all the Chassidic Admorim.
The margins of the letter contain another short letter from his daughter Chaya Sarah, wife of the Ohalei Yaakov of Husyatin.
