Personal copy of Taz Choshen Mishpat belonging to Rabbi Elimelech Shapira of Grodzisk, including his handwritten signature on the title page: “Hakatan Elimelech ab”d Grodzisk."

There is an additional seal stamped by his holy son, Rabbi Klonimus Kalmish of Piaseczno, renowned author of Chovas HaTalmidim.

Rabbi Elimelech Shapira of Grodzisk (1807-1892) was a leading rabbi and an Admor to thousands. He was the son of the Seraph of Mogielnica, grandson of the Maggid of Kozhnitz. He authored Imrei Elimelech and Divrei Elimelech.

Rabbi Klonimus Kalmish Shapira of Piaseczno (1889-1943) was the son of Rabbi Elimelech Shapira, grandson of the Maggid of Kozhnitz, and the maternal grandson of the Ma’ohr M’Shemesh, after whom he was named. He authored Chovas HaTalmidim, Hachsharas Ha’avreichim and Eish Kodesh which won world-wide acclaim.
