A very rare work on astronomy and calculating the Jewish calendar
Contains an anthology of essays and partial essays in Hebrew and Latin edited and published by the scholar Sebastiani Munsteri.
The book also includes sections from Olam Zuta and sections from sefer HaKaballah by Rabbi Avraham ben David (the first Raavad), Ibur Katzuv DRav Nachshon; Limtzo Molados U’Tekufos. All the above were printed with facing Hebrew and Latin sides, and the remaining collection of essays were printed in Latin only.
The present work contains impressive woodcut illustrations, diagrams and charts, along with 2 folded diagrams of the solar system. (These diagrams are extraordinarily rare and missing from the Mehlman Collection described in Ginzei Yisrael #1871)
Basel, 1527. First edition. [8], 200, [16] + [2] folded diagram. Page size: 19.5 cm. Ornate, beautiful printing with numerous initials. Attractive copy in good condition. Old velvet binding with laces.
