Rare. Sacred Folio from Al Hageulah V’Al Hatemurah Handwritten by the
Admor Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar
Brooklyn, 1967

Sacred writings of the Admor in his holy hand, fiercely condemning the praising of the Reshaim . He explains that even if a rasha performs a good deed, Hakadosh Baruch Hu does not reap pleasure from his actions.
The Admor Rabbi Yoel Teitelbaum of Satmar’s famous sefer Al Hageulah V’Al Hatemurah was not written by him but compiled by his disciples based on his teachings and lectures. , The Admor himself only wrote singular pages as he explicitly states in his preface to the sefer:
“I wrote only the preface, but the rest of the sefer, I relayed the subjects to the talmidim, so they should write what they heard from my mouth” (p. 25).
This sacred leaf is one of the only few folios from Al Hageulah V’Al Hatemurah that was written by the holy hand of the Admor of Satmar. (The abovementioned preface, which was also inscribed by the Admor himself, also survived and is extant in a private collection in the U.S.)
This page was printed in Al Hageulah V’Al Hatemurah Ch. 106 (p. 163) and contains many of the fundamental points comprising the Admor of Satmar’s ideas and principles against Zionism and the founding of the State of Israel
The above was written on the verso of a kvittel.
Al Hageulah V’Al Hatemurah was written and published in 1967 at the Admor of Satmar’s behest in order to battle the public fervor following Israel’s stunning triumph during the Six Day War. These essays constitute his primary arguments against Zionism and the State of Israel and the stark prohibition of aligning oneself with them.
