Mozart Rottmann (Hungary, 1874-c1950) Hungarian genre-painter. Studied art in Budapest, Vienna and Munich. Known for painting of biblical subjects as well as genre painting in the spirit of the Benczur master school (Gyula Benczur (1844-1920) professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munic).
Since 1901 his painting has been exhibited in Budapest at the Art Gallery and the National Saloon. Currently his paintings are in the permanent collection of museums in Budapest and Vienna, as well as the Jewish Museum, New York, and the Israel Museum.pest, Vienna and Munich. Known for painting of biblical subjects as well as genre painting in the spirit of the Benczur master school (Gyula Benczur (1844-1920) professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, Munic).
